报告摘要:

Mobile network is evolving from a communication-only network towards one with integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) capabilities, which we call a perceptive mobile network (PMN). It is expected to become part of the 6G mobile communications standard. In PMNs, sensing can be seamlessly realized by using the received communication signals, leveraging communications infrastructure. This talk provides an overview of the latest technologies and applications in PMN. I will begin by introducing the PMN framework and outlining the necessary system modifications to enable sensing capabilities in existing communication-only infrastructure. Within this context, I will highlight key research challenges and present our solutions, with a focus on joint waveform design, sensing parameter estimation, and resolving sensing ambiguities. Following this, I will discuss our work in two projects: one focusing on smart home applications, including human tracking and behavior analysis, and the other on environmental sensing, covering water level monitoring and rainfall detection.
